Hello BBQ Lovers

Welcome to Joe’s BBQ Boat Rentals!

Let me start by saying Thank You for your interest in our service. We love offering this amazing experience to you, your friends, family and colleagues.

Here's a little background story about how we got started.

Whether you're from Vancouver, recently moved here or a visiting tourist, you'll have to agree that we all love a delicious BBQ on a hot, sunny day; especially in this spectacular city surrounded by water and beaches. Being originally from Europe, I had previously encountered these wonderful little boats throughout various cities... and then one day out of the blue it suddenly struck me - Eureka!

I thought "what a great way to take the traditional beach BBQ experience to a whole new level!"

It was time North America was introduced to this incredibly entertaining watercraft. And that’s basically how Joe’s BBQ Boat first came into existence.

It was challenging and fun assembling the boats over the summer of 2014 on the docks of Granville Island's Maritime Market & Marina. Besides putting our focus on the correct assembly of the 13 foot wide boats, we spent much of our time answering questions to hundreds of intrigued passers by, all wondering what these big round orange vessels were all about! It seemed that Vancouver had already loved the idea even before we launched. Our biggest challenge came when our lift operator at the marina was tasked with birthing our boats safely to water. Check out the pictures of our assembly posted here on our Facebook page.

In keeping with Vancouver's continuous drive towards “Green” initiatives, we decided to replace the original fuel engines with Eco-friendly electric motors. Although our manufacturer highly recommended against it, we insisted and are now one of the only businesses to achieve this with the BBQ Boats throughout the world. And yes, we are extremely proud to have made these Eco-friendly engines work!

Since we launched, we've had thousands of ecstatic customers who have greatly enjoyed touring around False Creek, BBQing to their heart's content.

The most rewarding part of it for me is seeing the happy faces of our guests and hearing them relay their adventures in our little boats. So I invite you to come aboard for an unforgettable experience. You'll be very happy that you did.

We hope to see you soon!

Joe
